How It Works

A Clear Path Through Debt Resolution

From your first call to your final settlement, this is how Freedom Solve works with you every step of the way.

Our Core Principles

These commitments guide everything we do and ensure your interests always come first.

Counseling-First

Every consumer starts with a free financial assessment and counseling session with a certified counselor from a nonprofit organization before making any enrollment decision.

Client-Controlled Funds

Clients save for settlements in a dedicated account held in the client's name and under the client's control.

Client-Approved Outcomes

We negotiate with creditors on your behalf. You review and approve each proposed settlement.

Six Steps, One Journey

Every client follows a similar path, but timing and outcomes vary based on individual circumstances.

1

Free Financial Assessment

You'll have a phone consultation with a certified counselor who reviews your income, expenses, debts, and hardship. This session is educational—designed to help you understand your situation and available options. No pressure, no sales pitch.

2

Recommendation & Your Decision

Based on your situation, a counselor may discuss whether debt resolution could be appropriate. You take the time you need to think it over. Enrollment only happens if you choose to proceed.

3

Enrollment (If You Proceed)

If you decide debt resolution is right for you, you review and sign program agreements and required authorizations. Everything is explained clearly before you sign.

4

Dedicated Account Savings

You begin setting aside funds in a client-owned dedicated account held in your name. These funds are for settlement payments and program-related fees when applicable. You control when and how funds are used.

5

Negotiation & Settlement Review

When timing and savings allow, we negotiate with creditors on your behalf. Settlement offers are presented to you for review and approval.

6

Becoming Debt-Free

Once your enrolled debts are settled, you graduate from the program and begin living debt-free.

What You Need to Know

Understanding Debt Resolution

Debt resolution is a way to address unsecured debts when monthly payments are no longer manageable. The goal is to work toward settling eligible debts for less than the full amount owed.

This approach is about making steady progress toward becoming debt-free, not finding a quick fix. It takes time, commitment, and consistent saving.

That's why Freedom Solve always begins with a free financial assessment and counseling session—so you can understand what participation involves before making any decision.

Eligibility & Suitability

Whether this program is right for you is determined during counseling, not from a website. You may be a good candidate if you:

  • Have primarily unsecured debt (credit cards, personal loans, medical bills)
  • Are experiencing financial hardship
  • Struggle to make minimum monthly payments
  • Can save consistently for settlement purposes
Secured debts like mortgages or auto loans are generally not eligible. If debt resolution isn't right for you, your counselor may discuss other resources.

Fees & Client Funds

You remain in control of your money throughout the program.

No Upfront Fees

Freedom Solve does not collect any fees up front. Program fees are earned only after a settlement is reached.

Dedicated Account

  • Held in your name, under your control
  • Used for settlement payments and program fees (when applicable)
  • You approve all uses of funds
  • Consistent saving is important for progress
You direct how funds are used through your approvals. No settlement payment is made unless you approve it first.

Risks & Considerations

Debt resolution is a serious financial decision, and outcomes can vary from one person to another. While many consumers choose this approach as a way to work toward resolving debt, results depend on individual circumstances.

Participation may involve changes to your credit profile, ongoing communication from creditors, and a timeline that varies based on your ability to save and creditor policies. In some situations, additional steps or considerations may be needed.

Freedom Solve's counseling-first approach is designed to help you understand what participation may involve before you decide whether to move forward.
